2020 IEEE EMBS International Summer School on Biomedical Imaging
18-24 June, 2020
Saint-Jacut de la Mer, Brittany, France

The 14th Edition of this Summer School is aimed at offering to the best young researchers (PhD students, Post-doctorate, Engineers from industry, Physicians) involved in biomedical imaging an exceptional opportunity to meet, discuss and learn from leading lecturers in an informal atmosphere. This intensive working week takes place in one of the most beautiful place of France, Saint-Jacut de la Mer, near the old city of Dinan.

The 2020 Lectures will be given by Philippe Ciuciu (France), Marleen de Bruijne (The Netherlands), Jens Rittscher (UK), Vivek Goyal (USA) and Laure Blanc-Féraud (France), on topics where a very active research is conducted. A Junior lecture will be delivered by a participant to the previous School, to be selected.

The number of attendees (traditionally coming from more than 25 countries all over the world) is strictly limited (45) and applications must be submitted as early as possible (the deadline being April 17th, 2020). An international committee will select the candidates by April 30. Participants are encouraged to present their research work through Posters.

The registration fee is 900 € (Euros). It includes full teaching courses, accommodation, catering, social events (dinner with live music, visit of Saint-Malo during "Fete de la Musique"), nautical activities (sailing and kayaking) and the School book published in the IEEE-EMBS Book Series. Financial supports are currently being requested from several sponsors (industrials, IEEE EMBS and French public bodies) to offer reduced registration fees for participants from under-represented countries or participants with specific financial constraints (to detail in your motivation letter). A 100 € deposit is mandatory when submitting your application, which is reimbursed if your application is not successful, and which is deduced from the final registration cost if you are selected to attend the summer school.
